So back during Covid, I decided to start a little side-hustle training company. Teaching English presentation skills to ESL business people. I called it SSS Method, which stood for
- Structure
- Skills
- Style
I thought that was pretty clever myself 🙂 It was a curriculum I had developed 10 years prior when I was living in Japan, and I made some videos with my brother – you can still find some of my “free” videos on YouTube. I might put the rest of them back up one day.
Anyway, the business didn’t work – neither my brother nor I were very good marketers or advertisers, and the Social Media Site That Must Not Be Named (the Book) decided to take $500 of my money for advertising and then block my ad account. So, yeah, didn’t work.
Still had the domain, so decided to repurpose it for a travel blog based on my adventures. I’ve been….a lot of places. Simple site for now, I might make it more complex in the future.
So what does SSS stand for now? Still workshopping ideas. My thoughts at the moment are:
- Sights
- Senses
- Stories
Doesn’t have the same kick to me, but I welcome any suggestions!
